Here is the three basic development kits available for the ADuC7xxx systems. The Mini Kit includes a small evaluation board, which can be powered with an included 9 volt battery, with the ADuc7020 on-board. The kit also contains a UART download cable and a CD containing evaluation development software from Keil and IAR. The compilers for Keil and IAR are limited to 32 kiloBytes maximum program size. The included CD also contains example code, datasheets, download software and other documentation. The QuickStart™ Kit includes a full evaluation board with either an ADuc7020/ADuC704/ADuC7028 or ADuC7026 on-board along with a UART download cable and a 240V/110V AC to 9V DC power adapter. Also included is a CD containing evaluation development software from Keil and IAR. The included compilers for Keil and IAR are limited to 32kB maximum program size. Additionally, the CD contains example code, datasheets, download software and other documentation. The QuickStart™ Plus Kit contains the same items as the QuickStart Kit plus a mIDAS-Link JTAG pod and is the only evaluation kit that provides a JTAG interface POD for JTAG debugging and programming. For the QuickStart and the Mini Kit evaluation systems, programming is only supported via the UART download interface. However, debugging is possible by using the ROM Monitor feature provided with the IAR tools.
