The development system for the ADuC702x series is comprised of hardware and software elements. The evaluation board that comes with the system offers users the chance to build an application circuit quickly with a large prototype area. The ADC channels have buffered inputs and with circuitry for generating a differential input for users wishing to evaluate the ADC in this mode. All the digital I/O pins are brought out to headers for ease of use. A mIDAS link “JTAG” emulator is included as part of the system giving users the ability to debug non-intrusively both on the evaluation board and also in-system. The serial download cable included with the kit integrates an ADM3202 RS232 level shifter as part of the cable. This means that all that is required to serial download to the part is a 4 pin header. The software included contains the WSD and PLA tools previously discussed as well as evaluation copies of Keil Software's uVision3 IDE and IAR Systems Workbench for ARM. There are three development systems available. The Mini Kit (EVAL-ADUC7020MK), the Quick Start (EVAL-ADUC7020QS, EVAL-ADUC7024QS, and the EVAL-ADUC7026QS) and the Quick Start Plus (EVAL-ADUC7026QSP) based around the ADuC7026 and covers the entire ADuC family from 7019 to 7027. The toolset for the ADuC7060/61 is the same as the ADuC7020 except for an ADuC7060 specific evaluation board.
