This product is packed in blister tape-on-reel, compatible with automatic pick-and-place machines. This wirewound resistor has 1 W and 3 W rated power, 5% tolerance, and a resistance range from 1 Ω to 100 Ω. The surface mount feature allows users to skip an additional assembly step for axial leaded resistors, resulting in cost savings. The AC-CS series wirewound safety resistors are designed for use as fusible safety resistors or AC mains-voltage input resistors. The resistor fuses “without a bang” when AC mains voltage is applied. At the same time, it acts as an in-rush current limiting resistor during normal operation. The specially developed lacquer coating has superior thermal and electrical insulating properties. This allows designers to meet safety approval requirements more easily while eliminating the need to add additional series fuses with the input resistor. Additionally, this product series offers high power dissipation in a small size with non-flammable coating conforming to UL 94 V-0, excellent pulse load capability, and is UL 1412 recognized.
