High-Precision Helical Antennas

Calian GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) expands its line of helical antennas, which provide unprecedented performance in a lightweight, compact form factor. The line now extends beyond dual-band GNSS and iridium support to also include single and triple GNSS frequency bands. Calian Helical antennas are designed for applications requiring high performance and versatility with an absolute minimum of weight, such as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

In addition to the HC600, HC871, and HC872 Calian's helical antenna family now includes a single frequency HC771, dual-frequency (plus L band corrections) HC882, and a triple band (plus L band corrections) HC975.

Calian's quadrifilar helical (HC) technology features precision-tuned helix antenna elements with low axial ratio and wide radiation beamwidth. The antennas feature low-current, low-noise amplifiers (LNA) with integrated pre-filtering to protect against high-amplitude interfering signals, providing a high signal-to-noise ratio. With their lightweight and excellent operation without a ground plane, Calian's helical antennas are ideal for a variety of applications, such as UAVs and real-time kinematic (RTK).
