nRF52 Series Bluetooth 5.2 SoCs

Nordic's nRF52 Series has a broad spectrum of features and functionality beginning with the nRF52805 and expanding to the feature-rich nRF52840. The nRF52 Series is built around Arm® Cortex®-M4 CPU. The Cortex-M4 brings exceptional processing power to meet even the most demanding application needs. When added performance is needed, a handful of products in the nRF52 Series feature a floating-point unit (FPU). FPU eases the migration across ICs in the series by being very straightforward with code compatibility. Differentiation beyond this point lies in the range and number of peripherals and memory availability.

All products in the nRF52 Series offer Bluetooth® 5.2 support. The nRF52840 and nRF52833 offer four additional features including 2 Mbps and long range. All devices support the 2 Mbps feature. In addition to enabling considerable energy-saving possibilities, the 2 Mbps feature allows for higher throughput use cases. Some devices in the nRF52 Series also include a Bluetooth 5.1 direction-finding capable transceiver.

All SoCs in the nRF52 Series are Flash-based and offer complete flexibility and upgradability to any design and product. Devices can be reprogrammed in the factory or the field utilizing over-the-air device firmware upgrades (OTA DFU). This allows devices to be upgraded anytime and anywhere.
