Littelfuse's AHRL series automotive resettable PPTCs provides 20% to 40% size reduction
Littelfuse's AHRL series of PolySwitch resettable devices are designed to protect power distribution in automotive applications such as motor circuits, door locks, seat controls, and the many other circuits found in vehicles. In addition to automotive applications, these 16 V rated resettable PPTCs are well-suited for many other low-voltage DC applications like heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), powered networks, and buses
Features
- Compact size (width and height) 20% to 40% reduction
- Wide range of hold current ratings (3.5 A~15 A) with low thermal derating
- Operating temperature up to +125ºC
- AEC-Q200 compliant
Applications
- Motor and motor circuit protection including power door locks, mirrors, lumbar seats, sunroofs, and windows
- Electronic control unit (ECU) I/O protection
- HVAC motor and I/O protection
- Air-flow detection, overcurrent protection in HVAC, and cooling fan systems
- Resettable overcurrent protection for power distribution, electrical centers, and junction boxes
- Powered networks and buses
- Wire downsizing
- Motor electromagnetic interference (EMI) suppression
- Electrostatic discharge (ESD) damage protection
