Epson offers the RX8900 low-power real-time clock with ±3.4 ppm accuracy and automatic power switching

Epson RX8900CE Real Time Clock Module Epson introduces the RX8900 real time clock module (RTC). Using digital temperature compensated oscillator (DT CXO) technology, the RX8900 achieves ±3.4 or ±5 ppm accuracy over a range of -40 to +85 °C. The RX8900 has very low power – 0.7 µA typical – and offers an automatic standby function which detects loss of main power and switches to a backup battery or super capacitor. The RX8900 CE has a 3.2 mm x 2.5 mm x 1.0 mm ceramic package, includes a built-in crystal, and is surface mountable.
