AP43771V Protocol Decoder

The AP43771V from Diodes Incorporated, is a USB Type-C® power delivery PD3.0 PPS decoder dedicated to power source applications with legacy capabilities. It is compliant with USB Type-C specification rev.1.2 and USB power delivery (PD) specification rev. 3.0 V1.1 (USB PD3.0 PPS silicon compliance certification: TID – 4305). The device also passes QC4/4+/QC5 compliance certification by Granite River Labs (GRL). The AP43771V supports PPS APDO with 20 mV/step resolution and 50 mA/step current resolution for optimal battery thermal management and supports cable-loss compensation and SOP command for e-Marker detection. I²C interface and GPIO pins are available for AP43771V (W˗QFN4040˗24) to facilitate multiple-port independent output voltage application where built-in smart power-sharing firmware is implemented to maximize power usage in any scenario. The device possesses 45 W and 65 W single-C or dual-C reference designs for USB PD3.0 PPS-based quick charger designs to shorten design-to-production cycle time and is available in W-DFN3030-14 and W-QFN4040-24 package types.
