MF-NSML/X Series 12 V Rated Low Resistance PPTC Resettable Fuses

The Bourns Multifuse® product line's 12 V rated Model MF-NSML/X series of low resistance surface mount polymer positive temperature coefficient (PPTC) resettable fuses includes I_HOLD current ratings from 1.5 A to 4.5 A at the 12 V maximum rated voltage.

Bourns' low resistance conductive materials used in this product series exhibit post-trip resistance values as low as 14 mΩ and initial resistance values as low as 2 mΩ. Such low resistance values help boost the current carrying capability of the devices. The Bourns model can now achieve 4.5 A I_HOLD at 12 V_DC in a space-saving 1206 package (Model MF-NSML450/12-2).

The compact MF-NSML/X model family utilizes Bourns' innovative freeXpansion design, increasing the performance of the resettable fuse with higher hold currents (I_HOLD), higher voltages (V_MAX), improved resistance stability, and smaller footprints.

The primary applications for these products include Li-ion battery packs, motherboards, and portable consumer electronic I/O port protection. These devices have been designed to protect against both overcurrent and overtemperature events within the products' designated specifications.

The Model MF-NSML/X Multifuse PPTC products are RoHS compliant and UL recognized for safety requirements, and are produced in Bourns' IATF16949 approved facility in Xiamen, China.
