It has a yellow paper liner. PTFE tape is used in many applications requiring high-temperature performance and abrasion resistance.

  • Tensile strength: 180 lbs/in
  • Elongation: 5%
  • Dielectric strength: 3,000 volts
  • Operating temperature: -73°C to +260°C (-100°F  to +500°F)
  • Adhesion to steel: 30 oz/in
Applications
  • Heat sealing and packaging machines: their non-stick surface prevents adhesives and materials from sticking to the equipment
  • Where heat resistance and electrical insulation are critical, such as in motors, transformers, and wires
  • Automotive and aerospace industries, where heat resistance and durability properties are needed for sealing, insulation, and protection of critical components
