It is a very versatile part due to its integrated boost converter and the possibility to control both channels independently as well as in a combined mode. The AS1170 features integrated circuit protection functions and an automatic battery lifetime extension mode. With its WLCSP it is still small and cost-effective, making it the ideal choice for battery-driven applications or applications with high current needs and space constraints.
